About Prestige Pets
Thank you for choosing Prestige Pets!! I can’t think of a better place to start with our story so I guess we will start at the beginning. This takes us to the fall of 2012 where it all started with a dream of getting married, raising a family, and being at home with my family, just like my dad and grandfather had done. I was fortunate to have a good mentor in the family who helped me get started by looking at other people’s facilities and meeting new people.
The years 2015 and 2016 proved to be a rough spot for us. Still struggling to pay for the startup cost I had to continue relying on my 40-hour-per-week job in a stressful and fast-paced environment to keep the continuous stream of bills to be paid. We still talk about those late-night dinners with me holding my oldest son Jeremy while we ate so I at least got to spend some time with him. Struggling to find a balance between my family, my job, and our puppies.
I vividly remember one afternoon sitting amid a pile of paperwork, I started wondering if all this effort was really worth it. In the end, I knew I had invested too much money and the whole family simply loved our puppies too much to quit.
As always the Lord was on time and what seemed like a no-win situation finally looked a little more hopeful with the help of the loyal customers we finally started showing a little profit. With this newfound encouragement, we got the idea we want to build a new and improved nursery for our moms and new puppies. With a part-time job closer to home and the little money we had saved we decided to get started. Two years later in the fall of 2018 believe it or not, we finally moved into our brand-new facility.
Fast forward to the present, where our dream has finally come true. I am finally as they say “Just at home”, but somehow we still stay busy. Currently, we raise four different breeds of purebreds, Havanese, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, French Bulldogs, and Shih Tzu’s along with designer breeds Shipoo’s and Havapoo’s by popular demand.
A Week At Prestige Pets
A typical day will start with cleaning and feeding. After breakfast, it’s time for some exercise! With three sizeable outdoor exercise and play areas, everybody gets a chance to run off some energy, except for new moms and small puppies who use the two inside play areas. Our weekly jobs include baths, a picture day, grooming, vet visits, and a host of other jobs.

As mentioned earlier we are a family owned and operated by myself, Ernie, my wife Kaylene, and our four children Jeremy, Krista, Marlena, and Kari but we are also fortunate for the help of our neighbor lady Sharon and professional photographer Rachel to help us keep everything running smoothly.
I am again reminded of the positive influence and encouragement we have received from our wonderful customers, I sometimes wonder if I’m doing my part to pass it on. In an effort to do this, we are associated with and inspected/audited with the below organizations to ensure our accountability. I would once again like to thank all of our customers for making this all possible.
